Ideas for the promotional flyer

After drawing out a few ideas of what to do for promotions, I settled on the idea of making some hand done type which would fit to the border.

After experimenting with a few different scenarios I decided to vectorize my progress

by their selves they looked great although when put together they just didn't work, so I tried experimenting what they would look like if I was to add a backing image.

The design just looked lost and in my opinion there would be no reason to carry on with the design.
