Out on a limb1

So for the Out on a limb brief I have chose to run through a few design ideas for the band to see what they look like, I chose to link in personal things with the band such as what they wear, their tattoos and what they play/ use in the band.

They are a death metal band which love gore so I thought I would incorporate zombie arms and legs... well limbs with the imagery to make something up which was pretty unique and worked as as set.

I started off layering up my image with strong strokes to cover the base lines.

I then added tone to make the depths correct and appear a lot more realistic.

I then began to add the foundation colours.

Then built up the tone and depth to make them stand out as a real show or as close to real as I could get without wasting my time.

I want to make this item pretty realistic and detailed rather than having something which looked simple and easily coloured

I then added a 3D effect by simply adding a line at the top of the ankle which looks as though the leg bone is coming out of (as it should)

I had then finished the foot and wanted to add a speaker.

This is the finished piece so far, but I may take away the speaker and just add simple lines like the one above.
