For my collection of five skate decks I chose to engrave them for a more wild effect. It was a risk using the laser cutter due to the skate decks being made out of a fine canadian maple and not knowing what reaction the laser would give to the curve.
So far I have 4 made with 2 more to go, each board can be used individually but is intended to work as a display set, like belows image:
